新疆18选7历史记录:Dave Grohl Announces Two-Part Mini Documentary 'Play' Featuring a 23-Minute Solo Song
As the Foo Fighters wrap up their Concrete and Gold Tour, Dave Grohl announced on Wednesday (Aug. 1) the coming of a two-part mini documentary called PLAY.
Written and filmed by Grohl, the documentary celebrates "the rewards and challenges of dedicating ones life to playing and mastering a musical instrument." PLAY will be released to streaming services on Aug. 10, with a limited edition vinyl to follow on Sept. 28. The vinyl and digital formats are now available to pre-order.
Directed by Grohl and his Sonic Highways collaborator Mark Monroe, PLAY features a 23-minute jam session where the renowned rocker creates a one-man-band instrumental recording using seven instruments including drums, guitar, bass, and keyboards.
“Watching my kids start to play music and learn to sing or play drums, it brings me back to the time when I was their age listening to albums, learning from listening… and when I take my kids to the place where they take their lessons, I see these rooms full of children that are really pushing themselves to figure this out,” Grohl said in a statement. “And even now, as a 49-year-old man, I’m still trying to figure it out...it’s not something that you ever truly master. You’re always chasing the next challenge, and you’re always trying to find a way to improve on what you’ve learned.”
Filmed in black and white by Brandon Trost (The Disaster Artist, This is The End), the interactive film experience mirrors the challenges music students take on every day by pursuing excellence in their music, no different than the way the stadium rocker strives for the same goals.
